Point72 Asset Management, L.P is seeking a senior software engineer to advance finance data platforms in a Technology team environment. You will modernize the P&L reporting system, build scalable data pipelines, and deliver analytical applications that transform complex valuation data into actionable insights.

• 7+ years programming experience in CS field.
• Proficient in Python or C# and data pipelines.
• Experience with data visualization and React UI.

Responsabilidades

• Modernize the P&L reporting platform for finance and investment teams.
• Design scalable data pipelines and reconciliation workflows.
• Build analytical apps and reporting capabilities for complex data.
• Develop validation and adjustment tools to strengthen controls.
• Partner with controllers, valuation specialists, and Tech colleagues to translate business needs into software.
• Own features through design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Analyze data flows and calculation logic to anticipate reporting needs.
• Create intuitive visualizations and UIs to help stakeholders investigate trends.

What you’ll do

• Modernize the profit-and-loss reporting platform that helps finance, management, and investment teams understand firm performance with greater accuracy and speed
• Design scalable data pipelines and reconciliation workflows that improve the reliability, transparency, and timeliness of critical finance data
• Build analytical applications and reporting capabilities that turn complex valuation and performance data into clear, actionable insights
• Develop validation and adjustment tools that strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, and support accurate reporting across business processes
• Partner with controllers, valuation specialists, and Technology colleagues to translate business needs into robust, maintainable software
• Own features through design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support in a collaborative engineering environment
• Analyze data flows and calculation logic to anticipate reporting needs, identify gaps, and improve end-to-end process quality
• Create intuitive visualizations and user interfaces that help stakeholders investigate trends, exceptions, and performance drivers
• Improve platform resilience through sound engineering practices, production support, monitoring, and continuous refinement

What’s required

• 7+ years of programming experience with training in computer science or a related technical field
• Strong data engineering, analytics, ETL, and reconciliation skills using T‑SQL, Python, and Airflow
• Strong software development skills using Python or C#
• Experience designing, developing, supporting, and coordinating users for end‑to‑end systems
• Strong data visualization and front‑end development skills using JavaScript and React
• Ability to build systems and workflows with high standards for numerical accuracy, data quality, and operational reliability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, team‑oriented approach to solving problems
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
