Job summary

Paessler GmbH in Kraków is seeking a passionate software engineer to join our team on a long-term basis to help evolve and improve Paessler PRTG, a network, cloud, and IoT monitoring solution.

You will work in an agile team, focusing on enterprise customer needs, planning and developing features, and contributing ideas with the product manager. You will own architecture and code quality and assist in knowledge transfer, testing, and 3rd-level support for complex environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in modern programming practices.
• Interest in AI/ML technologies and applying them in development.
• Experience with databases and their integration into software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.
• Willing to learn about messaging systems and PRTG integration.
• Interest in how network monitoring software works.
• Familiar with software architectures, clean code, and design patterns.
• Familiar with Git and CI/CD with GitLab and Jira.
• Agile mindset.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Work in an agile team within the product development for Paessler PRTG.
• Focus on needs of enterprise customers and work on continuous product improvements.
• Plan, develop and modernize software features with your team.
• Contribute ideas and participate in discussions with the product manager.
• As a team, take responsibility for architecture and code quality.
• Support the team with knowledge transfer, code reviews and testing of new features.
• Assist our technical support in 3rd-level cases, analyze and resolve problems in complex environments.
• Collaborate to ensure high quality and stability of the system.
