Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking a Security Automation Engineer (SOAR) for remote work in the Mid-Atlantic region. The role focuses on designing and implementing security automation workflows using leading SOAR platforms and integrating security tools via APIs.

You will work with SIEM, EDR/XDR, and ticketing systems to streamline incident response and automation across client environments. Candidates should have 5+ years in security operations and 3+ years building automation, with hands-on SOAR

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security operations with SOC end-to-end understanding.
• 3+ years designing and building security automation workflows.
• Hands-on experience with at least one SOAR/automation platform.
• REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON integration experience.
• Python scripting for custom logic and data transforms.
• Familiar with SIEM/EDR/XDR, ticketing tools, threat intel, and email security.
• Ability to decompose manual processes into automated workflows with error handling.
• Interest in emerging AI tools to improve security workflows.
