Job summary

Seargin Ltd is seeking an experienced Snowflake trainer to deliver hands-on workshops and practical sessions in Warsaw. You will cover Snowflake architecture, SQL development, data engineering concepts, and governance, with a focus on real-world migrations and cost optimization.

The role includes live demonstrations, dbt workflows, and integration with Power BI, aimed at data engineers and BI professionals. This position offers a B2B contract and international project exposure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of data engineering or data warehousing with Snowflake experience.
• Advanced Snowflake SQL and T-SQL knowledge, including migrations.
• Deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, metadata, and platform admin concepts.
• Practical experience with Azure ingestion, stages, and COPY INTO workflows.
• Working knowledge of dbt on Snowflake with modeling and testing.
• Experience integrating Snowflake with Power BI and DirectQuery.
• Proven track record in delivering hands-on technical training and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive Snowflake training covering architecture, SQL, data engineering concepts, and best practices.
• Lead Snowflake SQL & Migration workshops comparing Snowflake with MS SQL Server T-SQL.
• Train on data ingestion, ELT pipelines, Dynamic Tables, and modern data architectures.
• Provide live demos of Snowflake architecture, Snowsight, and metadata management.
• Teach dbt development, lineage tracking, orchestration, and deployment practices.
• Demonstrate performance tuning, cost control, and security governance within Snowflake contexts.
• Guide participants on Snowflake and Power BI integration and analytics workflows.

• Snowflake SQL & Migration Workshops
  • Conduct practical sessions comparing Snowflake SQL and Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL, including migration approaches, key differences, and optimization techniques.
• Train Data Engineers and BI professionals on data ingestion, ELT processes, Dynamic Tables, and modern data platform architectures.
• Architecture & Platform Demonstrations
  • Provide live demonstrations of Snowflake architecture, Snowsight, database objects, metadata management, and SQL development workflows.
• Data Pipeline Training
  • Deliver practical exercises covering data ingestion, Azure integration, stages, COPY INTO processes, and end-to-end data pipeline implementation.
• dbt & Modern Data Stack Training
  • Educate participants on dbt development, model creation, testing strategies, lineage tracking, orchestration, and deployment best practices.
• Performance & Cost Optimization
  • Demonstrate performance tuning, query optimization, warehouse management, clustering strategies, and cost-control techniques within Snowflake environments.
• Security & Governance Education
  • Train participants on Snowflake security models, RBAC, masking policies, row-level security, data governance, and compliance-related features.
• BI & Analytics Integration
  • Provide guidance on Snowflake and Power BI integration, DirectQuery optimization, reporting architectures, and analytics best practices.
• AI Capabilities & Technical Support
  • Present Snowflake AI capabilities, facilitate Q&A sessions, support practical exercises, and share real-world implementation experience.

Requirements

• Snowflake & Data Engineering Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing with strong hands-on expertise designing and implementing Snowflake solutions.
• Snowflake SQL & SQL Server Expertise
  • Advanced knowledge of Snowflake SQL and Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL, including migration strategies, platform differences, and development best practices.
• Snowflake Architecture Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, Snowsight, database objects, metadata management, SQL development, and platform administration concepts.
• Dynamic Tables & ELT Pipelines
  • Practical experience with Dynamic Tables, incremental and full-refresh processing, ELT pipelines, and modern raw-to-serving data architectures.
• Experience implementing data ingestion solutions using Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Factory, stages, and COPY INTO processes.
• dbt on Snowflake
  • Working knowledge of dbt, including model development, testing frameworks, lineage tracking, orchestration, and deployment practices.
• Performance & Cost Optimization
  • Strong expertise in query optimization, Query Profile analysis, caching, clustering, pruning, warehouse sizing, and cost management strategies.
• Security & Data Governance
  • Knowledge of Snowflake security models, RBAC, masking policies, row access controls, tagging frameworks, Time Travel, and cloning capabilities.
• Power BI Integration
  • Experience integrating Snowflake with Power BI, including DirectQuery performance optimization, reporting architectures, and analytics solutions.
• Snowflake AI Capabilities
  • Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex AI, Cortex Analyst, CoCo, and the ability to demonstrate practical AI and analytics use cases.
• Technical Training & Presentation Skills
  • Proven experience delivering technical training, hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, knowledge-sharing sessions, and interactive learning programs.
