Job summary

Air Liquide Engineering & Construction seeks an experienced Site QA/QC Manager to oversee the quality lifecycle on a world-scale industrial gas construction project. You will ensure civil, mechanical, piping, and E&I installations meet Air Liquide’s stringent standards on-site.

The role is fully field-based, requiring strict safety adherence and collaboration with HSE and construction teams. A Bachelor’s degree, 8+ years QA/QC experience, and AWS-CWI/CSWIP 3.1 certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
• 8+ years of QA/QC experience on large-scale industrial construction sites (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial Gas plants preferred).
• Certifications: AWS-CWI and CSWIP 3.1, familiarity with NDT methods (RT, UT, PT, MT).
• Strong knowledge of international codes (ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII, API) and local regulations.
• Exceptional leadership and collaboration with HSE and construction teams.
• On-site field-based role requiring strict safety adherence.

Responsibilities

• QMS Leadership: Deploy, manage, and audit the site-specific PQP and ITPs.
• Construction Surveillance: Oversee daily field inspections for mechanical, structural, civil, and E&I activities.
• Welding & NDT Oversight: Manage welding engineering compliance and NDT tracking for high-pressure piping.
• Air Liquide Specialty Standards: Enforce oxygen-cleanliness and cryogenic insulation standards.
• Contractor Management: Lead pre-inspection meetings with subcontractors and monitor quality performance.
• Defect & NCR Management: Issue NCRs and drive CAPA through root-cause analyses.
• Project Handover: Review and validate contractor TOP and As-Built docs for turnover.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Air Liquide is looking for an experienced and rigorous Site QA/QC Manager to oversee the quality lifecycle of our latest world-scale industrial gas construction project. In this role, you will be the ultimate guardian of engineering excellence on-site. You will ensure that all civil, mechanical, piping, and electrical installations executed by our contractors meet Air Liquide’s stringent global standards, international codes, and safety regulations. Your day-to-day will involve high-visibility oversight across the construction site:

• QMS Leadership: Deploy, manage, and audit the site-specific Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Construction Surveillance: Oversee daily field inspections for mechanical, structural, civil, and E&I activities to ensure full alignment with engineering drawings.
• Welding & NDT Oversight: Manage welding engineering compliance (WPS/PQR), welder qualifications, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) tracking for high-pressure piping.
• Air Liquide Specialty Standards: Enforce critical specialty quality protocols, including oxygen-cleanliness specifications and cryogenic insulation standards.
• Contractor Management: Lead pre-inspection alignment meetings with subcontractors, witness critical hold points, and manage contractor quality performance.
• Defect & NCR Management: Issue and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), leading root-cause analyses to drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Project Handover: Review, compile, and validate contractor Quality Turnover Packages (TOP) and As-Built documentation to ensure a seamless transition to the Commissioning team.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical field experience.
• 8+ years of QA/QC experience on large-scale industrial construction sites (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial Gas plants preferred).
• Technical Certifications: Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI, CSWIP 3.1, or equivalent) and familiarity with NDT methods (RT, UT, PT, MT).
• Codes & Standards: Strong working knowledge of international codes (ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII, API) and local regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional leadership skills.
• Collaborative mindset to work alongside HSE and construction teams.
• Uncompromising eye for detail.

This role is fully field-based on an active construction site. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adhering to strict site safety protocols.
