Job summary

Grid Dynamics is seeking a Platform Engineer to join a simulation engineering pod supporting the migration of an autonomy simulation platform to NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim. You will own the platform layer touched by all simulation users, collaborating with client engineers and our infrastructure team to build, package and release the platform at scale.

You will design developer tooling, APIs and SDKs, optimize builds and runtime performance, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines across platform

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in build, release or platform engineering for C++ and Python software.
• Hands-on experience with build systems, packaging and release workflows for C++ and Python projects.
• Proven track record of building developer tooling and designing or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong programming skills in both languages.
• Experience building backend services, APIs or SDKs consumed by other engineering teams.
• Ability to profile and optimize both runtime and build performance.
• Nice-to-have: Experience developing Omniverse Kit or Isaac Sim extensions; Experience migrating repositories or working with monorepo build tools; Experience versioning simulations, assets and results; Background in distributed systems, runtime systems and system integration

Responsibilities

• Own the build systems, packaging and release workflows of the simulation platform’s C++ and Python codebase, from source to versioned, consumable releases.
• Help move the platform from its existing engine to Omniverse and Isaac Sim, supporting the repository migration while keeping builds fast, stable and reproducible.
• Design and build developer tools, backend services, APIs and SDKs that make the platform easy for other teams to adopt and use.
• Work with the pod’s infrastructure engineer on shared CI/CD pipelines that serve both platform and simulation workloads.
• Profile and optimize build times and runtime performance so that simulation users get fast feedback as the scenario framework grows.
