Job summary

Valeo Skawina is seeking a CFD Simulation Engineer to perform high-fidelity CFD simulations, analyze results and support design decisions for engine cooling systems. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with design teams, development of new simulation methodologies, documentation of SOPs, and ensuring model validation against data.

Fluency in English and Polish, experience with ANSYS Fluent/CFX or Star-CCM+, and a mechanical engineering degree are required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with CFD, fluid mechanics, heat transfer and heat exchangers.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-fidelity CFD simulations in accordance with standards and project specs.
• Deliver detailed result packages with analysis and explanations to support decisions.
• Translate CFD data into visual and verbal recommendations for design teams.

Skawina’s engine cooling plant is the largest and oldest Valeo site in Poland. The plant designs and manufactures the latest generation of innovative heat exchangers, i.e., engine coolers, oil coolers, air turbocharger coolers, air-conditioning and complete engine cooling systems (cooling modules), which in addition to their basic functions allow to reduce fuel consumption and emissions of harmful substances including carbon dioxide.

Currently for our entity Thermal Systems in Skawina we recruit Simulation Engineer CFD.

Job description:

• Standardized Execution: Perform high-fidelity CFD simulations in strict accordance with established standards and internal project specifications
• Result Analysis: Deliver comprehensive results packages, including detailed analysis and physical explanations of flow behaviors to support engineering decisions
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate complex fluid dynamics data into clear, visual, and verbal recommendations for design teams and stakeholders
• Methodology Development: Actively participate in the research and creation of new simulation methodology paths to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Standardization & Documentation: Draft and maintain technical documentation, best practices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the CFD workflow
• Validation & Verification: Ensure model reliability by validating results against experimental data or analytical solutions

Requirements:

• Engineer degree in technical area - mechanical engineering or related field
• Simulation background Finite volume method, CFD, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, heat exchangers, basics in programming knowledge will be a great advantage
• Experience of using: ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS, CFX, Star CCM+ or similar simulation software CAD software experience will be an asset Fluent English and Polish Teamwork spirit, precision, multitasking ability, result orientation
