Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. seeks an experienced Shopify professional to build and lead our e-commerce practice in a remote-first setup. You will guide teams through implementations, mentor developers, and partner with sales on pre-sales calls to grow Shopify-driven solutions for Fortune 500 brands.

You will translate business goals into technical roadmaps, lead strategic engagements, and drive conversions with UX, SEO, and performance improvements while staying current with Shopify updates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in e-commerce with Shopify expertise.
• Deep knowledge of Shopify Plus, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and APIs.
• Proven record delivering large-scale solutions and conversions.
• Experience leading development teams and mentoring engineers.
• Able to translate business goals into technical roadmaps and communicate with varied stakeholders.
• Experience supporting sales conversations and identifying growth opportunities.
• Strong communication, organization, and remote collaboration skills.
• High proficiency in English.
• Availability for consulting, team leadership, and part-time project involvement as needed.

Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee Shopify stores, apps, and integrations end-to-end.
• Drive scalable, secure solutions and establish coding standards.
• Lead engagements, mentor developers, and establish best practices.
• Be primary client contact; translate business goals into technical roadmaps.
• Provide guidance on conversion optimization, UX/UI, SEO, and performance.
• Participate in discovery calls, scope projects, and identify upsell opportunities.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and marketers to align tech with business goals.
• Ensure designs meet performance, SEO, and CRO best practices.
• Stay current with Shopify updates and headless frameworks.
• Champion engineering excellence within the e-commerce roadmap.
