Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking an experienced Shopify professional to build and lead our e-commerce practice in a remote-first environment.

You will guide teams through implementations, mentor developers, and partner with sales on pre-sales calls to turn Shopify into a growth engine for Fortune 500 and startups. You will translate business goals into technical roadmaps, drive conversions, and stay current with Shopify updates, headless frameworks, and integrations, while collaborating with clients

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in e-commerce.
Deep expertise in Shopify Plus, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
Proven track record delivering large-scale Shopify solutions with measurable conversions.
Experience leading development teams, code reviews, and mentoring developers.
Strong ability to translate business goals into technical roadmaps and communicate with stakeholders.
Experience supporting sales conversations, scoping projects, and spotting growth opportunities.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Availability for consulting, team leadership, and partial project involvement based on client needs.

Responsibilities

Architect and oversee Shopify stores, apps, and integrations end-to-end.
Drive scalable, secure solutions and establish coding standards.
Lead engagements, set best practices, scope work, and mentor developers.
Serve as primary client contact and translate business goals into roadmaps.
Provide strategic guidance on conversion optimization, UX/UI, SEO, and performance.
Participate in discovery calls, scope projects, and identify upsell opportunities.
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and marketers to align tech with business goals.
Ensure designs meet performance and CRO best practices.
Stay current with Shopify updates, headless frameworks, and third-party integrations.
Champion engineering excellence across the e-commerce roadmap.
