AgileEngine is seeking a Shopify expert to build and lead our e-commerce practice. You will guide teams through implementations, mentor developers, and partner with sales on pre-sales calls to turn Shopify into a growth engine in a remote-first environment.

The role requires 5+ years in e-commerce with Shopify Plus, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs. You’ll work with Fortune 500 brands and startups, driving conversions, UX optimizations, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in e-commerce and Shopify-led implementations.
• Deep expertise in Shopify Plus, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale Shopify projects.
• Experience leading development teams and mentoring developers.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• English fluency and remote collaboration skills.
• Available to support consulting, leadership, and part-time involvement as needed.

Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee Shopify stores and integrations end-to-end.
• Drive scalable, secure solutions; set coding standards and POCs.
• Lead prototype engagements and mentor developers during early phases.
• Act as primary contact for client portfolio; translate goals into roadmaps.
• Advise on conversion optimization, UX/UI, SEO, and CRO best practices.
• Participate in discovery calls; scope projects and identify upsell opportunities.
• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and marketers to align tech with business.
• Ensure themes and apps meet performance and SEO standards.
• Stay updated with Shopify updates, headless frameworks, and integrations.
• Champion engineering excellence and contribute to e-commerce roadmap.
