Job summary

Vestas American Wind Technology in Poland is seeking a Travel Service Technician with electrical and mechanical capabilities to service wind turbines across the NCE region. This field role emphasizes safety, hands-on maintenance, and teamwork to keep turbines running smoothly.

You’ll travel on a 3/2 week rotation, hold a technical degree, and possess good English. You will inspect and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components and ensure proper documentation and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school/college/university.
• Professional experience (electrical or mechanical) preferably in Wind Industry or with high voltage (preferably gained over a 2-year period).
• Basic knowledge of MS Office; experienced in handling different tools or systems to monitor work and documentation.
• Good English skills, both written and spoken.
• Valid driving license in Poland, + BE and CE.
• You have the physical ability to climb stairs and ladders and work while carrying materials and tools around in the turbine.
• You can read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics and attention to detail to follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conducting all work safely with attention to detail; promote and demonstrate safe behavior.
• Performing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Secure and monitor the turbine condition after job completion.
• Fill out work orders and checklists, proposing process optimizations.
• Check tools and spare parts for accuracy and readiness before starting work.
• Equip vehicles with tools, PPE, and spare parts as needed.
• Ensure on-time return of unused and defective materials and tools with proper declaration and packaging.

The Service Operations Development NCE Department delivers customized solutions for up-tower repairs, crane less solutions or cost out initiatives to the NCE (Northern & Central Europe) Service regions. Strong collaboration with WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) Engineering Support / Construction and CIM department.

We are looking for candidates from all over the Poland willing to travel across NCE region and work in 3/2 weeks rotation scheme.

Responsibilities

• Conducting in working safely and with attention to detail; promotes and always demonstrates safe behavior and practices
• Performing all mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical component maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions
• Secures and monitors the clean and tidy condition of the turbine after job completion
• Filling out work orders and checklists, confirming completed orders including proposals for the optimization of processes
• Checks tools and spare parts for accuracy, operational capability, and completeness prior to starting work
• Responsible for the equipment of the vehicles with tools, personal protective equipment, and spare parts
• Ensuring on-time return of unused and defective materials and tools with correct declaration and correct packaging
