Job summary

ABB söker en serviceingenjör för drift och underhåll av processanalysutrustning och CEMS-system i Polen. Rollen innebär arbete på plats hos kunder, samt viss resor inom Polen och internationellt, i en hybrid arbetsmodell.

Du har minst 5 års erfarenhet av service av I&C-utrustning, samt god förståelse för analysinstrument och elektroniska mätningar. Flytande engelska krävs, och körkort av kategori B är förmånliga krav.

Qualifications

• Minst 5 års erfarenhet av service av I&C-utrustning, analytiska system eller industriella automationssystem.
• Kunskap om processanalysatorer, gaskromatografer och CEMS-system.
• Förmåga att läsa teknisk dokumentation, elscheman och P&ID-diagram.

Responsibilities

• Planera och utföra servicearbete med låg till medelhög komplexitet enligt arbetsinstruktioner och ABB:s standardprocesser.
• Utföra provningar, kalibreringar och elektriska mätningar av instrumentering och styrutrustning.
• Kravställ och åtgärda tekniska problem relaterade till analytisk utrustning.
• Fatta beslut i service-situationer och säkerställa god kommunikation med kunder och interna team.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers.

You will also showcase your skills by displaying a clear understanding of prompt action and care in your own area of responsibility.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Perform periodic inspections, maintenance, and repairs of process analytics systems and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
• Install, commission, and diagnose and repair process analyzers, gas chromatographs, and measurement systems at customer sites.
• Conduct calibrations, functional tests, and electrical measurements of instrumentation and control equipment.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to the operation of analytical equipment.
• Prepare service reports, technical documentation, and recommendations for customers.
• Coordinate on-site service activities and supervise the execution of assigned tasks.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Technical Support teams on project delivery.
• Maintain direct technical relationships with customers and ensure a high level of service quality.
• Carry out service activities across Poland and internationally, including participation in plant start-ups and installation acceptance tests.
• Ensure compliance with ABB's health and safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Qualifications for the role

• Technical education (university degree or technical secondary education) in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Engineering, Instrumentation & Control (I&C), or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in servicing I&C equipment, analytical systems, or industrial automation systems.
• Knowledge of process analyzers, gas chromatographs, CEMS systems, or similar measurement equipment.
• Ability to diagnose electrical, electronic, and process-related faults.
• Proficiency in reading technical documentation, electrical schematics, and P&ID diagrams.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Poland and occasionally abroad.
• Valid Category B driving license.
• Communicative English skills enabling interaction with customers and manufacturer technical support.
• Ability to work effectively and make decisions in service-related situations.
• Clear communication skills and a service-oriented attitude.

Nice to Have

• Valid SEP electrical qualifications (E) up to 1 kV or above.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, such as: Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP
• Experience working on petrochemical, power generation, gas, or environmental installations.
• Experience in commissioning activities and project execution.
• Familiarity with ABB systems, including: AO2000, ACF5000, EL3000, GCP100, NGC8206 or comparable analytical systems.
