Job summary

ADB SAFEGATE is seeking a Service Engineer to install, commission, and maintain airport systems in Poland. The role requires hands-on fieldwork, strong troubleshooting, and travel within Poland and occasionally internationally.

• Degree or professional qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
• Hands-on field service and maintenance experience in technical environments.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, electronic and control systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Polish and English at professional level to communicate with customers.

To strengthen our service team in Poland, we are looking for a motivated and hands‑on Service Engineer to support our customers with advanced airport technology solutions.

Your Mission

In this role, you will be an important part of our technical team, ensuring that mission‑critical airport systems are installed, commissioned, maintained, and supported to the highest standards.

You will:

• Install and commission ADB SAFEGATE systems, including electrical and electronic components and control technology, at customer sites.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Carry out regular inspections and replace parts and components when required.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, including service reports and maintenance records.
• Provide technical expertise and support to customers on‑site, by phone, and via email.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders while independently taking ownership of assigned tasks.
• Conduct on‑site surveys and prepare technical reports.
• Represent ADB SAFEGATE professionally in all customer interactions.

Your Profile

We are looking for a practical, ambitious, and reliable professional who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and taking ownership in an international environment.

Required qualifications

• A degree or professional qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, or a comparable technical field.
• Hands‑on experience in field service, equipment maintenance, electrical systems, automation, or a similar technical area.
• Confidence in using technical tools, measuring devices, test equipment, and diagnostic software.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and repair faults in electrical, electronic, and control systems.
• The ability to read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Professional working proficiency in Polish and English, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers and international colleagues.
• Willingness to travel within Poland and occasionally internationally, including short‑notice assignments. Some commissioning and service activities may take place outside standard working hours.
• A valid Category B driving licence and willingness to travel independently to customer sites.
• Ability to manage assigned service and commissioning tasks independently while collaborating effectively with international colleagues, customers, and partners.
• A proactive and responsible approach, with strong quality awareness, customer focus, and ownership of assigned tasks.

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Service Technician, or in a similar customer‑facing technical role.
• Experience with airport systems, airfield lighting, industrial equipment, building technology, or other safety‑or operationally critical systems.
• Practical knowledge of PLC systems, switchgear, control equipment, and industrial automation, for example Siemens, Beckhoff, or Allen‑Bradley.
• Practical experience working with low‑and/or medium‑voltage equipment.
• Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with networking, remote monitoring, or remote support tools.
• A relevant Polish electrical qualification, such as SEP/G1, appropriate to the assigned scope of work. Candidates who are eligible and willing to obtain the required qualification may also be considered.
• Knowledge of additional European languages.
