Job summary

SoftServe is seeking a robotics software engineer to contribute to development, testing, and integration of robotics systems across mobile robots, robotic arms, and drones.

You will join the Robotics Operation and Integration team, ensuring quality, reliability, and smooth deployment of robotics solutions on edge devices and in cloud environments. The role requires adaptability in a fast-changing setting and a strong curiosity for robotics challenges.

Qualifications

• Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of robotics principles, control systems, and algorithms.
• Experience in software testing and QA methodologies.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, and familiarity with ROS.
• Hands-on experience with robotics simulation tools (Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid mathematical foundation.
• Knowledge of SLAM, localization, and mapping.
• Experience with path planning, obstacle avoidance, and motion planning (including MoveIt).
• Familiarity with sensor fusion techniques and data processing (LiDAR, IMU, vision, GPS, etc.).
• Experience with Bayesian or Kalman filters.
• Close attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
