Job summary

Takeda | Lodz, Poland seeks a Transition Wave Senior Manager to lead end-to-end transition waves, coordinating planning, knowledge transfer and ramp-up across global teams. You will ensure on-time milestones, manage risks, and partner with the Transition Functional Lead and PMO to deliver smooth, compliant transitions that protect critical operations.

The role requires 7+ years in transition/PM within global organizations, strong program management skills, and English fluency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in project/program/transition management within global orgs.
• Experience leading end-to-end transition waves and major operational changes.
• Strong project management with critical path and integrated plans.
• Knowledge transfer, readiness assessments, and stage-gate governance.
• Financial understanding to manage transition costs and value realization.
• Strong coordination in a matrix organization.
• Fluent in English; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of transition waves with scope, timelines, milestones.
• Maintain detailed wave plans across knowledge transfer, ramp-up, go-live, stabilization.
• Track and report wave progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Support continuity of critical business operations across the wave.
• Own wave-level activity tracking and milestone delivery.
• Coordinate with knowledge transfer PMO to align to milestones.
• Track SME availability, knowledge transfer completion, and sign-offs.
• Escalate delays or readiness gaps to transition team.
• Act as day-to-day coordinator between business units, SMEs, site leads, and Global Capability Model teams.
• Support stage-gate reviews and provide wave-level status input for go/no-go decisions.
• Coordinate wave-level hypercare and stabilization to meet SLAs and KPIs.
• Handover wave activities into steady-state operations.
• Escalate recurring issues and identify root causes for process improvement.
