Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to lead end-to-end tooling design for turbine installations and disassembly during maintenance outages. You will drive innovation, perform mechanical and structural analyses, and ensure safety and efficiency.

You will collaborate with FieldCore, GE Product Services, design teams, and global suppliers, managing 3D modeling, drafting, testing, validation, and documentation while delivering on project schedules.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with proven design experience.
• Strong proficiency in mechanical and structural analysis techniques.
• Proficient in NX and ANSYS Workbench; able to create robust 3D models and simulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead tooling design for installation and disassembly of turbine components.
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle from concept to 3D modeling, drafting, and manufacturing support.
• Collaborate with FieldCore, GE Product Services, design teams, and global suppliers.
• Conduct hands-on testing and on-site validation at customer locations.
• Maintain quality engineering documentation and participate in design reviews.
• Ensure project schedules, technical requirements, and performance commitments are met.
