Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead design and analysis for gas turbines, steam, generators, and accessories, partnering with engineering, manufacturing and sourcing teams to optimize subsystems. You will drive RCA-based improvements and champion Lean practices to improve reliability and yield.

The role emphasizes mentorship and collaboration with senior engineers, focusing on robust designs and data-driven decision making in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated strong engineering experience in mechanical hardware design/analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design & Analysis: mechanical design and analysis for gas turbines, steam, generators and accessories.
• Technical Stewardship: validate designs, assess thermal growth and manufacturing variation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with engineering, manufacturing and sourcing to optimize subsystems.
• Continuous Improvement: lead RCA to improve reliability, quality and yield; apply Lean.
• Project Delivery: manage milestones through reviews following NPI processes.
• Mentorship: coach team members and collaborate with Principal/Chief Engineers.
