Job summary

PwC Advisory sp. z o.o. sp.k. is seeking a Senior Test Engineer (freelance) to ensure top-quality software delivery. You will define the test automation strategy, create and maintain automation scripts, and lead a team of testers in a cross-border environment.

You will collaborate with PwC delivery teams and clients, apply agile practices, and leverage AI-assisted QA tools while continuously learning new frameworks. Hybrid work and international projects are offered.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in test automation, preferably enterprise systems.
• Experience defining independent test automation and performance testing approaches.
• Proficiency in multiple languages (TypeScript, Java, Python) and frameworks (Playwright, Selenium).
• Ability to learn new frameworks quickly and adapt to evolving tools.
• Strong understanding of software delivery and agile methodologies.
• Fluent Polish and English for daily cross-border collaboration.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Grafana k6).
• Hands-on CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Independent and proactive with 5-day availability.
• Experience with AI-assisted test design tools and evaluating AI/ML QA tools.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI limitations.
• Eligibility to operate as a sole proprietor in Poland.

Senior Test Engineer (freelance)

Your future role:

• Assure that the software we deliver is of the best quality,
• Review and analyse system requirements,
• Definition of test automation strategy,
• Cooperate with customers and PwC delivery team to define automated tests scope,
• Create, execute and maintain test automation scripts,
• Create and execute performance test scripts,
• Analyse test results,
• Report on testing effort status and results,
• Lead a team of technical testers.

Apply if you have:

• At least 6 years of experience in test automation (testing of enterprise class systems preferably),
• Experience in independent test automation\performance testing approach definition,
• Proficiency in more than one mainstream language (preferable TypeScript, Java, Python) and more than one modern framework (preferable Playwright, Selenium),
• Ability and flexibility to learn and use new frameworks quickly,
• Very good understanding of software delivery process (agile methodologies),
• Very good command of Polish and English (communication with international project’s team members on daily basis,
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written communication) and ability to work in a group,
• Experience in performance testing using one of the modern tools (JMeter, Loadrunner, Grafana k6),
• Hands-on CI/CD pipeline design & implementation,
• Analytical skills and attention to details,
• Independence and proactive approach,
• Availability 5 days a week,
• Practical experience with AI-assisted test design tools,
• Ability to evaluate and integrate AI/ML-driven QA tools,
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI limitations,
• The ability to operate as a sole proprietor or business entity within Poland (due to the project-based nature of the employment).

Nice to have:

• Experience in testing CRM solutions (Salesforce, Dynamics 365 etc.),
• Prior experience in working in international environment,
• Practical knowledge of SQL,
• ISTQB certification,
• Knowledge of multiple operating systems concepts,
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.
