Westinghouse Electric Company in Poland seeks a Senior Supplier Performance Engineer to manage supplier relationships and ensure high-quality metal components for the AP1000 program in Europe.

You will lead supplier development, monitor performance, coordinate quality surveillance, and drive continuous improvement while traveling to European supplier workshops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical/Material Engineering.
• Fluent in Polish and English.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience leading multiple projects.
• Experience with nuclear products and standards (ASME).
• Experience with NDE/NDT processes.
• Willing to travel to supplier workshops in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier evaluations and development to ensure capabilities for complex technical products.
• Lead supplier development and qualification activities for new products and cost reduction.
• Oversee supplier performance and manage supplier risk and Oversight Plans.
• Define witness and hold points during manufacturing and document results.
• Support quality surveillance with the Supplier Quality Organization.
• Manage flow-down of quality and technical requirements to suppliers (NQA-1, ISO, design specs).
• Develop supplier performance dashboards and drive corrective actions (SCAR).
• Coordinate documentation reviews and provide progress reports.

Senior Supplier Performance Engineer manages and oversees relationships with suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality metal work components and contribute to solutions to the complex aspects of a project or process. You will work with suppliers to establish and maintain relationships, monitor performance, ensure delivery certainty and identify areas for improvement. You will be part of AP1000 program in Europe with a specific focus on Poland.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Evaluation and Development involves conducting overall supplier assessments. These assessments evaluate suppliers' capabilities for complex technical products and processes. Additionally, they ensure that a supplier's manufacturing facility has all the necessary resources, including machines, spare parts, material, components, and supplies, to operate. These goods must comply with Westinghouse's quality and standards requirements.
• Lead supplier development and qualification activities for new products and cost reduction efforts with a subject matter expert approach. This includes identification of project risks and mitigating actions, managing project schedules, approval of supplier process documents, process capability analyses, measurement system analyses, input to design for manufacturability
• Supplier Oversight Evaluating procurement risk, soliciting partner input, and using resources to develop and manage Oversight Plans and estimates
• Define Witness and Hold points during the manufacturing
• Complete or delegate oversight of main supplier operations and activities, documenting results and taking appropriate action
• Support the project management team to work with Supplier Quality Organization for performing Quality surveillance
• Supplier Management Managing flow down of Quality and Technical requirements to suppliers, e.g., NQA-1, ISO, Design Specifications, Approved Processes
• Guide the supplier performance, including supplier performance scorecard/dashboard. Ensure maximum value is received for the Purchase Order that WEC places to its suppliers, including full compliance to the quality and technical specifications.
• Responsibility to develop Performance Improvement Plans for poor or negative trends in performance and managing those plans to completion. This includes overseeing the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process: performing cause analyses and verifying completion of preventative and corrective actions
• Lead and escape “quality events”, coordinating activities, issuing communications, identifying partners to ensure prompt identification of impacted products, disposition, and corrective action. This requires engaging your technical experience and capabilities for providing Manufacturing technical expertise to the supplier when needed
• Coordinate supplier documentation reviews by appropriate Westinghouse functions, including the Supplier Non-Conformance Reports
• Provide regular progress report to the department (Project Manager, Program Director)
• Support Commercial Operations and Legal for Quality/technical bases of supplier claims

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical/Material Engineering
• Fluent in Polish and English
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans, PFMEAs
• 3-5 years of experience on similar role
• Experience leading multiple projects
• Experience with nuclear products and standards (ASME)
• Experience with NDE/NDT processes
• Personal, industrial and nuclear safety as an important area of concern
• Knowledge about Design-To-Manufacturing and Manufacturing Readiness Level process
• Experience performing process capability analysis and qualification
• Willing to travel to the supplier Workshop based in Europe
• Experience in large projects execution
• Experience with US standards and norms (ASME, AWS)

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 11,416 to 14,266 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
