Job summary

DXC Technology, a global IT services leader, seeks a Senior Statutory Accountant with German expertise to join our Polish controllership team. Hybrid work from Wrocław, Warszawa, Kraków or Gdańsk, focusing on US GAAP and German HGB compliance, external audits, and policy development.

You will collaborate with auditors, ensure accurate financial statements, and provide insights to support decision-making in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
• Fluent English and German (min B2)
• 7+ years of relevant industry experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role
• Proven experience in financial management, accounting and control functions.
• Experience with US GAAP and German HGB

Responsibilities

Role

Senior Statutory Accountant with German Location: Hybrid from Wrocław, Warszawa, Kraków or Gdańsk

Essential Job Functions

• Supervise the development and implementation of financial policies and internal controls.
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate financial audits for the DXC companies in Germany.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with accounting regulations and internal controls for both US GAAP as well as German HGB.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
• Foster collaboration and teamwork within the controllership team.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Fluent knowledge of English and German (min. B2)
• Typically, 7+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role
• Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and control functions
• Proficiencies in financial reporting, audit compliance, and risk management
• Continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology

Other Qualifications

• An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) is a plus
