Job summary

Bayer AG in Poland is seeking a Statutory Accounting Senior Specialist with German to prepare statutory financial statements and conduct analyses in IFRS and local GAAP. The role involves audits, cross-functional collaboration, and driving process improvements within a country cluster.

The candidate should have a university degree in accounting or related fields, 2+ years of accounting experience, English and German proficiency, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• University degree preferable in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Economics or relevant degree.
• Certified tax advisor or accounting certificate - beneficial.
• At least 2 years’ professional experience in Accounting, Controlling, Taxes, Financial Analysis or similar fields.
• Good understanding of global accounting, controlling tax processes and their point of intersection with other business processes.
• Advanced knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting per IFRS and local GAAP.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in English and German languages.
• Knowledge of ERP (SAP FI, CO, S4HANA), BI systems and Microsoft Office would be beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• High accuracy, initiative and reliability.
• Ability to work through ambiguity with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares statutory financial statements and reports for regulatory filing.
• Analyzes impacts of new accounting standards on transactions.
• conducts P&L and balance sheet analysis with variance analysis.
• Actively participate in statutory audits.
• Take ownership of outcomes within country cluster.
• Record, verify, and execute tasks of moderate complexity.
• Perform internal controls and ensure timely completion.
• Update and create documentation; monitor KPIs.
• Participate in meetings and collaborate with your team.
• Provide back-up support for other R2R team members.
• Engage with finance stakeholders to deliver value.
• Collaborate with business partners and global networks.
• Escalate problems promptly to accelerate decisions.
• Support process improvements and innovations.
