Job summary

Reap is building a Site Reliability Engineering practice, and this role is central to it. We run card issuing, payouts, FX and stablecoin settlement across multiple AWS regions, under PCI DSS and financial regulation.

The platform is growing quickly - into new markets, new products, and now agent-initiated payments - and the infrastructure underneath it needs to grow up with it. That means real service ownership, reliability measured in SLIs and SLOs rather than intuition, and a platform that

Responsibilities

• Define reliability: set SLIs/SLOs with product/engineering, introduce error budgets, make ship/stabilise a math decision.
• participate in on-call rotation and build incident response and blameless postmortems.
• Drive IaC across legacy infra, reduce drift, and ensure every resource is defined and versioned.
• Consolidate Terraform estate with modules, governance, and drift detection.
• Automate account provisioning and environment setup for new regions/services.
• Build self-service interfaces for provisioning, deployment, and observability with safety escapes.
• Design ephemeral environments for developers and agents with automatic cleanup.
• Implement observability across logging, metrics, and distributed tracing with actionable alerts.
• Own cloud operations for PCI DSS and regulated financial systems including uptime, failover, and DR.
• Embed security into infra: secrets, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, compliance.
• Build infra for AI assistants/agents with isolation and auditable actions.
