Job summary

Hard Rock Digital is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our remote Poland team, focusing on AI-driven operations, JVM tuning, and scalable Java applications.

You will design autonomous AI agents, integrate tool‑calling LLMs, and optimize observability with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Mimir while collaborating with DevOps and data/ML engineers to reduce toil and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or similar roles with large-scale prod systems.
• 3+ years hands-on Kubernetes experience including architecture and security.
• Experience with cluster autoscaling, upgrades, and multi-cluster management.
• Proficiency with kubectl, Helm, and container orchestration troubleshooting.
• Strong Grafana observability skills including dashboards and alerting.
• Proficiency in PromQL and Loki for log analysis.
• Java-based apps in distributed environments with JVM tuning.
• Cloud experience (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure also valued).
• IaC tools familiarity (Terraform/Terragrunt, Ansible).
• ArgoCD for GitOps and deployment automation.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go, and CI/CD pipelines.
• On-call, incident response, and RCAs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability and performance of high-traffic Java apps in distributed environments.
• Troubleshoot production and non-production issues.
• Participate in pre/post-deployment performance testing and monitoring.
• Optimize JVM tuning and resource utilization for scaling.
