Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Security Consulting Engineering Technical Leader to join our Splunk Security practice in Poland. You will serve as the senior technical authority, guide complex customer programs in EMEA, and shape internal resources to accelerate the team’s success.

You will travel as needed, lead architecture and delivery, mentor consultants, and partner with engineering to advance the Splunk product roadmap and security operations capabilities.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s in CS/EE with 8+ years; Master’s 5+; PhD 2+ (relevant work experience accepted).
• Expert-level certification (CCIE or CISSP) or proven deep technical mastery; DevNet or automation certs are a plus.
• 7+ years enterprise security consulting with at least 3 years as a technical/delivery lead.
• Expertise in Splunk ES, SIEM design, SOC operations, security automation, or threat detection engineering.
• Proven track record building tools, playbooks, or frameworks used by others.
• Ability to collaborate with product/engineering teams and influence product direction.
• Strong scripting (Python), REST APIs, and automation/workflow tooling.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: oversee delivery of high-stakes programs and define blueprints for security projects.
• Building Knowledge: create threat detection libraries, SOC blueprints, and deployment guides.
• Security Engineering: design advanced threat detection systems and manage data onboarding with standards (PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST CSF, SOX).
• Coaching & Pre-Sales: mentor consultants and lead architecture workshops and RFP responses; drive AI/ML in security workflows.
