Job summary

N-iX CTO Group is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to lead the architecture strategy for enterprise accounts, mentoring teams and guiding pre-sales and delivery. You’ll shape technology direction, drive large-scale transformations, and ensure best practices across cloud-native, microservices, and APIs.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in software and architecture, leadership in consulting, and exceptional communication with executives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
• 3+ years in an architecture leadership or principal-level role in IT service/IT consulting.
• Proven ability to lead complex consultancy engagements with global enterprise clients.
• Experience building solutions from scratch for large-scale distributed systems (team size 30+, 12+ months).
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture with hands-on experience on two major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong background in microservices, APIs, integration patterns, and distributed systems design.
• Track record of coaching and team enablement in matrixed/consulting environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills with engineers and executives.
• Fluent in modern delivery practices: Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code; English – Upper-Intermediate or Advanced.
• Desirable: TOGAF/SEI Software Architecture Professional; cloud certifications

• Govern architecture implementation across the portfolio ensuring maintainability and long-term value.
• Lead or guide discovery phases, assessments, workshops, and architecture audits.
• Translate complex requirements into scalable architectural solutions.
• Own solution proposals during pre-sales and upsales including high-level design and risk management.
• Lead project execution ensuring architectural alignment with vision.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and align client needs with forward-looking approaches.
• Act as Chief Architect and lead a team of architects on complex accounts.

As a Principal Solutions Architect, you will play a key leadership role in shaping technology direction, guiding cross-functional initiatives, and enabling high-impact delivery. You’ll be responsible for leading complex solution engagements, from discovery and advisory to implementation, while mentoring architecture talent, strengthening practices, and contributing to company-wide strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities

• Build and mentor architecture and engineering teams, ensuring capability uplift and technical excellence across accounts.
• Act as a trusted advisor to client C-level executives and technology leaders, helping shape digital strategy and technology roadmaps.
• Govern architecture implementation across the portfolio to ensure alignment with best practices, maintainability, and long-term value.

Delivery & Consulting Responsibilities

• Lead or guide discovery phases, assessments, technical workshops, and architecture audits.
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable, sustainable architectural solutions.
• Own solution proposals during pre-sales and upsales, including technical vision, high-level design, risk management, and cost estimation.
• Lead project execution, ensuring architecture is delivered according to vision.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, aligning client needs with forward-thinking architectural approaches.
• Act as a Chief Architect and lead a team with subordinate architects on the complex accounts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
• 3+ years in an architecture leadership or principal-level role within the IT service / IT consulting environment.
• Proven ability to lead complex, high-impact consultancy engagements with global enterprise clients.
• Demonstrated experience building solutions from scratch, preferably for large-scale distributed systems (team size 30+, duration 12+ months).
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, with hands‑on experience in at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong background in microservices, APIs, integration patterns, and distributed system design.
• Track record of coaching, mentoring, and team enablement within a matrixed or consulting environment.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills—equally comfortable with engineers and executives.
