Job summary

Nordea Bank Abp, Poland, is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the Standardised Corporate Loans hub. You will combine hands-on development with architectural leadership to deliver scalable, compliant financial software in a regulated enterprise environment.

Responsibilities include defining the architecture runway, guiding development teams, and driving modern patterns such as microservices and event-driven design across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, including experience leading or guiding development teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with software architecture and system design.
• Proven experience designing distributed systems and service-based architectures.
• Experience with workflow engines or BPM platforms and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define the architecture runway for the Standardised Corporate Loans Hub and lead the design of complex, business-critical software solutions.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, robust, and compliant technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams on architecture decisions, design principles, and best practices.
• Drive adoption of modern architectural approaches, including microservices, monolith, and event-driven architectures.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews, identify technical risks early, and actively drive mitigation actions.
