Job summary

State Street in Kraków is seeking an experienced tech leader to combine hands-on engineering with leading a growing software team. You will guide Java/C# development, drive cloud-native and microservices initiatives, and mentor 5–10 engineers while coordinating cross-team work in an agile environment.

You will shape architectural decisions, ensure low-latency, high-throughput systems, and participate in SDLC best practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of full lifecycle Java app development experience.
• 2+ years leading a team of 5–10 people.
• Expert in Java or C#/.NET and OOP design.
• Strong with high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Deep understanding of databases and data models.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a 5–10 engineer team.
• Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug software enhancements.
• Collaborate with Analysts and PMs to craft scalable solutions.
• Guide code reviews and provide technical leadership.
• Support cloud-native, microservices-based architecture evolution.
