Job summary

Box Poland is seeking an experienced Java engineer to help design and operate secure, high-scale services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver complex initiatives that power Box's access control and collaboration platforms.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of software development, strong Java expertise, and a passion for security. English proficiency is required, and experience with GCP/Kubernetes is a plus in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient in Java.
• Interest in security topics (authentication, identity, industry best practices).
• Experience building and operating high-scale, production services.
• Ability to assess, communicate and complete project milestones with the team on time.
• Must speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in daily stand-ups and update sprint task statuses.
• Attend team, project, and manager 1:1 meetings weekly.
• Collaborate with Product Management to refine requirements and break down projects into deliverable units.
• Work with engineers across teams and partner organizations to deliver features.
• Respond to technical and behavioral feedback from the manager and peers.
• Contribute to Box culture and represent Box Poland internally and externally.
