Job summary

Box Poland is seeking a Software Engineer on the Automate team to design and implement full-stack solutions, focusing on backend distributed systems and React/TypeScript frontend. You will work across Java and React to build scalable workflows powering millions of automation executions.

You will collaborate with product, design, and infra teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to engineering best practices.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development with full-stack experience.
Proficient in Java and TypeScript/JavaScript with React.
Fluent English; strong knowledge of REST APIs and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

Design and implement features for the Box Automate platform, focusing on backend architecture and distributed systems, while delivering production-quality frontend work in React/TypeScript.
Develop and optimize backend services powering workflow automation for high performance and scalability.
Build responsive user interfaces in React for creating, configuring, and monitoring automated workflows.
Collaborate with product, design, and infrastructure to define requirements and deliver features on schedule.
Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to engineering best practices.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents as needed.
Attend stand-ups, team meetings, and manager 1:1s to ensure alignment and improvement.
