Job summary

OANDA in Kraków is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a hybrid team. You will drive architecture, build onboarding forms, and own features end-to-end with React.js and Python (FastAPI).

You will integrate third-party services, collaborate with external providers, and ensure code quality with automated tests, while mentoring peers and promoting productivity tooling in English across our global team.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer with React.js and Python (FastAPI).
• Experience designing systems, clean architecture, and cloud environments (GCP preferred).
• Proven experience with third‑party vendor API integrations (identity verification, payments, e‑sign).
• Strong ability with automated testing tools (PyTest, Cypress, Playwright) and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Drive the architecture, design, build, and maintain onboarding forms and registration workflows.
• Oversee and implement third‑party service integrations with APIs/SDKs.
• Own features end-to-end from design to production deployment.
• Communicate in English across cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
• Write clean, testable code and conduct constructive reviews.
• Champion developer tooling and AI-assisted development for productivity.
• Lead technical discussions and mentor other engineers.

How do we work?

We are an international Scrum team of Full Stack Software Engineers working with React.js , Python , and Google Cloud Platform. We build and optimize registration flows and onboarding forms used by our clients for a seamless, secure onboarding experience.

We place a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, autonomy, cross-team collaboration, and clean architecture.

We work in a hybrid model in Cracow, Zabłocie.

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer , you will:

• Drive the architecture , design, build, and maintain dynamic onboarding forms and registration workflows using React.js and Python (FastAPI).
• Oversee and implement third‑party vendor service integrations (APIs/SDKs), ensuring reliability, and collaborate closely with external providers and internal teams across the organization.
• Independently own features and technical initiatives end-to-end — from technical design, analysis, and problem‑solving to production deployment.
• Ensure clear communication in English across cross‑functional teams, technical stakeholders, and business partners, driving technical alignment and pragmatic solutions.
• Write clean, testable, and efficient code adhering to software engineering best practices (SOLID, Clean Code), championing code quality and conducting constructive code reviews.
• Champion and integrate modern developer tooling (including Claude Code and AI assistants ) to streamline development, refactoring, and process automation across the team.
• Lead team technical discussions , mentor other engineers , and continuously drive improvements in our system architecture.

What skillset you need to be successful in this role :

• Extensive commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer working with React.js and Python (FastAPI).
• Demonstrated experience with system design , clean architecture, and cloud environments (preferably Google Cloud Platform ).
• Proven experience with third‑party vendor API integrations (e.g., identity verification, payment gateways, e‑signature).
• Strong command of automated testing tools ( PyTest , Cypress , Playwright ) and CI/CD pipelines to ensure system reliability.
• Strong English communication skills (C1) for daily collaboration in a multicultural environment and cross‑team alignment.
• High degree of autonomy, ownership, and the ability to mentor and support peers.
• Solid understanding of Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) principles and Infrastructure as Code (IaC, e.g., Terraform).
• Hands‑on experience utilizing modern developer tooling , such as AI assistants and Claude Code , in everyday engineering workflows.

Bonus points if you have experience with:

• Commercial background in the FinTech industry (handling sensitive data, compliance, KYC/AML, or payment systems).
• Driving or contributing to organizational/team transformations toward AI‑driven development , automated testing, and developer productivity tooling.
