Job summary

AeroVect is shaping autonomous ground handling with sophisticated behavior planning systems. We seek a Senior Software Engineer to design modules in the behavior planner, bridging mission goals with motion execution in low-speed, structured environments.

You will own development of advanced planning algorithms, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement scalable C++/Python code. This role reports to Planning Tech Lead within a tight autonomy engineering team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.
• At least 3 years of industry experience in autonomous driving or robotics.
• Proficient in modern C++ and Python for development.
• Experience with behavior planning and path planning algorithms.
• Strong debugging, profiling, and code optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement behavior planning algorithms for autonomous vehicles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for robust integration.
• Design, write, and maintain scalable C++ and Python code.
• Contribute to architecture and ongoing improvements of planning software.
• Test extensively in simulation and real-world scenarios.
• Analyze performance and implement data-driven enhancements.
• Maintain documentation of code and system designs.
• Coordinate with other engineering teams.
