Astek Polska sp. z o.o. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in Android AOSP to develop and integrate components within the Android Open Source Project.

You will work on the Android audio stack and DSP/NPU integrations, debugging at the framework level and ensuring Treble compliance. The role demands strong C/C++ and Java/Kotlin skills, plus hands-on experience with native SDKs and multimedia subsystems.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Android platform development, particularly with AOSP (Android Open Source Project).
• Hands-on experience with the Android audio stack: Audio HAL, AudioFlinger, AudioPolicy.
• Understand AudioReach/DSP technologies and DSP/NPU integration.
• Excellent programming skills in C/C++ and working knowledge of Java/Kotlin.

Responsibilities

• Developing, integrating, and maintaining components within the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) platform.

• Integrating, debugging, and optimizing AudioReach/DSP solutions.

Position

We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of Senior Software Engineer - Android AOSP for our client

Offered salary

Salary: from 150 to 180 PLN net/day, depending on experience and competences.

You’re ideal for this role if you:

• Have strong experience in Android platform development, particularly with AOSP (Android Open Source Project).
• Have hands-on experience with the Android audio stack, including Audio HAL, AudioFlinger, and AudioPolicy.
• Understand AudioReach/DSP technologies and the integration of DSP/NPU components.
• Have excellent programming skills in C/C++ and working knowledge of Java/Kotlin.
• Have experience integrating native SDKs and libraries into OEM Android builds.
• Are familiar with SELinux, Project Treble, and CTS/VTS testing.
• Can troubleshoot complex issues across the Android Framework, HAL, and vendor-specific components.
• Have a solid understanding of Android system architecture and low-level debugging.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Developing, integrating, and maintaining components within the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) platform.
• Working with the Android audio stack, including Audio HAL, AudioFlinger, and AudioPolicy.
• Integrating, debugging, and optimizing AudioReach/DSP solutions.
• Integrating native SDKs and libraries into OEM Android builds.
• Troubleshooting complex system-level issues across the Android Framework, HAL, and vendor-specific components.
• Configuring and maintaining SELinux policies and ensuring compliance with Project Treble architecture.
• Investigating compatibility issues and analyzing CTS/VTS test results.
• Developing, debugging, and maintaining software components using C/C++ and Java/Kotlin.
• Ensuring seamless integration of DSP/NPU components within the Android platform.
