Job summary

Mobility Global is seeking a senior software engineer to help develop web applications for the US market, collaborating with mentors and a strong team. You will contribute to cloud-based microservices and IaC tooling, integrating backend services to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Proficiency in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and AWS, plus strong English communication, are essential for success in this cross-border role between Poland and the US.

Qualifications

• .5+ years of Java/JVM experience; strong REST/microservices
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks
• Experience with Spring or similar frameworks for RESTful services
• Cloud-based deployment on AWS or similar; knowledge IaC tools
• Strong analytical and debugging skills; team collaboration in Agile environments
• Excellent English for international collaboration
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related field

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications for US market with a high-impact product
• Contribute to cloud API-based product capabilities and microservices
• Integrate backend and cloud-based services to deliver a strong user experience
• Apply test-driven development, paired programming, and CI in an agile setting
• Collaborate with developers, PMs, and product owners in Poland and the US
• Lead and mentor junior developers; establish coding standards and coaching

What You'll Do

• Develop web applications for a high-impact product in the US market, working with a supportive team and mentors to gain expertise across various areas.
• Contribute to building new capabilities for cloud API-based products and microservices, with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Integrate multiple backend, cloud-based internal services to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Utilize test-driven development, paired programming, and continuous integration methods within an agile environment.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, including developers, project managers, and product owners in both Poland and the US.
• Lead and mentor junior developers, establishing coding standards and coaching them to enhance their skills and performance.

Required Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience with Java or another JVM language such as Kotlin or Groovy.
• 3+ years of professional experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience working with React (our framework of choice), AngularJS, or Vue.js.
• Experience in using the Spring Framework (or similar frameworks) to design and implement RESTful web or microservices.
• Experience building applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud infrastructure, with familiarity in IaC tools such as Terraform or CDK.
• Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to debug complex systems.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working in agile teams.
• Strong understanding of good engineering practices, including clean code, clean architecture, and comprehensive testing techniques.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication across international teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience in DevOps activities, including CI/CD, GitLab, and Docker.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Experience writing APIs that adhere to the RESTful and GraphQL standard.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
