Job summary

Mobility Global is seeking a skilled cloud engineer to design, build, and operate robust AWS/Kubernetes based cloud platforms for development teams. You will lead design exploration, prototyping, and collaboration with AWS engineers and stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable cloud services.

Your role includes driving automation, DR readiness, and education for teams on best practices in cloud tooling and security within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS product offerings (EC2, VPCs, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, etc.)
• Experience with Kubernetes or managed Kubernetes (AWS EKS a plus)
• Experience with the AWS Console, CLI and SDK
• Experience with Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation
• Experience migrating software applications to AWS
• Familiarity with Traefik, gloo or Ambassador (Envoy is a plus) including networking concepts
• Proficiency with Java, Javascript, NodeJS, Golang or Python
• Proficient in AI-based dev tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
• Broad DevSecOps skills
• Knowledge of security and performance best practices for cloud architectures
• Operational experience - uptime and quality ownership
• Experience building DR architectures
• Documentation and teaching mindset
• Hands-on experience building self-service cloud platforms
• Advanced troubleshooting
• Belief in automating everything
• Experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban)

Responsibilities

• Work in a dynamic, agile team designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining a robust cloud architecture for development teams
• Participate in design decisions, including new technology research and prototyping

• Invent new ideas to evolve applications and processes
• Continuously analyze and evaluate systems for potential improvements

What You’ll Do

• Work in a dynamic, agile, team environment designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining a robust cloud architecture to development teams
• Participate in design decisions, including new technology research and prototyping
• Collaborate closely with other AWS engineers and architects, cloud engineers, support teams and other stakeholders
• Promote great Kubernetes and AWS platform design and quality
• Innovate new ideas to evolve our applications and processes
• Continuously analyzing and evaluating our systems, products and process for potential improvements
• Communicating across development teams to understand pain points and places where improvements can be beneficial
• Educating business stakeholders and product development teams on the proper use of cloud tools and services

Required Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• Experience with AWS product offerings (e.g. EC2, VPCs, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, etc.)
• Experience with Kubernetes or managed Kubernetes (AWS EKS a plus)
• Experience with the AWS Console, CLI and SDK
• Experience with Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation
• Experience migrating software applications to AWS
• Familiarity with Traefik, gloo or Ambassador (Envoy is a plus) including general networking concepts
• Proficiency with at least one technology language like Java, Javascript, NodeJS, Golang or Python.
• Proficient in the use of AI-based dev tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
• Have a broad set of DevSecOps technology skills
• Knowledge of security and performance best practices for cloud architectures
• Operational experience - ready to own the uptime and quality of systems
• Experience in building and maintaining DR architectures
• Documentation and teaching mindset - educate others!
• Hands‑on experience building self‑service cloud platforms and architecture
• Advanced experience in troubleshooting techniques
• Be a firm believer in “automate everything”
• Experience operating in an Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Istio‑based service mesh
• Familiarity with AI‑based autoscaling solutions like cast.ai (or Karpenter)
• Familiarity with operating agentic platforms such as agentregistry, agentgateway and kagent (or equivalents)
• Familiarity in AIOps for Kubernetes clusters
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana
• Cloud development experience leveraging AWS products such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS, etc.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines leveraging a tool such as Jenkins or GitLab
