Job summary

State Street, Kraków, is seeking an experienced software professional to join an agile team shaping our cloud-native technology stack. You will develop new services in Python and Java, automate operations, and collaborate with global colleagues to streamline workflows and support business users.

The role requires 4+ years in software development, strong SQL Server skills, and experience with AWS, CI/CD, Git, Jira, and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of software development in Python and Java ecosystems (Spring, Maven, JUnit).
• Minimum 4 years of web technologies experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, XML).
• Experience with MS SQL Server databases.
• Familiarity with Linux (bash) and Windows (PowerShell).
• Experience deploying systems on AWS and proficiency with modern software development tools (IDEs, CI/CD, Git, Jira, Confluence) and agile practices.

We are seeking a smart, experienced, and talented individual that takes a service-oriented approach to their work and is passionate about software development and process automation. In this role you will work as part of an agile team of software developers and systems engineers responsible for building, supporting, and enhancing the feature set of our cloud-native technology stack. Current skills using programming languages/tools for our active code bases are required. These include both Python, and Java ecosystems, web development in Windows and Linux environments. Proficiency in developing with SQL Server databases is key to this role and strong skills are required. Candidates must be able to demonstrate proficiency with Git and modern CI/CD software engineering practices.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science or information technology (or similar) or equivalent experience
• min. 4 years of experience writing software in Python and Java ecosystems (Spring, Maven, JUnit)
• min. 4 years of experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, XML)
• experience developing with MS SQL Server databases
• familiarity with Linux (bash) and Windows environments (PowerShell)
• experience building and deploying systems using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Proficient with modern software development tools (IDEs, CI/CD, GIT, Jira, Confluence, etc.) and agile (scrum) management practices.

Note:

The role requires a minimum of three days per week working from the office

Minimum Salary

zł182,004 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
