Job summary

Billennium is seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps Engineer to join a pharma-sector project. You will be the technical authority for reliability, scalability, and automation of a multi-cloud provisioning platform, ensuring highly available production environments.

You will design automation, monitor SLI/SLOs, lead incident response, and collaborate across product, security, and engineering teams to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Software Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands-on AWS cloud design, operations, troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to scale production Kubernetes environments.
• Strong independent working and architectural decision-making.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps Engineer who will join a project for our client from the pharma sector. In this role, you will serve as a key technical authority responsible for the reliability, scalability, and automation of a multi-cloud provisioning platform, helping engineering teams build and operate highly available production environments.

What you will do

• Drive the reliability, scalability, and performance of a multi-cloud platform across production environments.
• Design and implement automation solutions that eliminate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Define, monitor, and continuously improve SLI/SLO metrics, providing data-driven recommendations for platform enhancements.
• Lead incident management activities, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term reliability improvements.
• Collaborate closely with product, security, and engineering teams to embed reliability and operational excellence across the software development lifecycle.

What we are looking for

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure design, operations, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience managing and scaling production Kubernetes environments.
• Ability to work independently, make architectural decisions, and deliver production-ready infrastructure with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across distributed engineering teams.
