Job summary

RE Partners in Warsaw is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer (Deployment Security) to guide a squad of SRE/DevOps engineers, shaping reliability strategy for mission-critical systems and security tooling in a hybrid setup.

You will collaborate with Java engineers and security architects to operate highly available infrastructure at enterprise scale, delivering secure, scalable CI/CD and observability for a global financial institution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering.
• 2+ years in Technical Lead or equivalent leadership.
• Java hands-on proficiency (Java 11/17+).
• Deep Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS experience.
• Terraform and GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux).
• Strong observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk/ELK.

Responsibilities

• Set engineering standards and guide a squad of SRE/DevOps engineers.
• Architect fault-tolerant, self-scaling infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.
• Own observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and incident response.
• Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) with security embedded.
• Partner with Java developers to embed reliability into every layer.

About the Role

We are building a new engineering team for a global tier-1 financial institution to strengthen its deployment security platform. You will lead a squad of SRE/DevOps engineers, defining reliability strategy for mission-critical infrastructure and security tooling. You will work alongside Java engineers and security architects to operate highly available systems at enterprise scale.

This is a long-term, multi-year program.

Key Responsibilities

• Set engineering standards and guide a squad of SRE/DevOps engineers.
• Architect fault-tolerant, self-scaling infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.
• Own observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and incident response.
• Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) with security embedded.
• Partner with Java developers to embed reliability into every layer.

Required Skills

• 7+ years in SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering roles.
• 2+ years in a Technical Lead or similar leadership position.
• Java hands-on – must read, review, and occasionally write Java code (Java 11/17+).
• Deep Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS experience.
• Terraform and GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux).
• Python, Go, or Bash scripting.
• Strong observability skills (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Splunk).
• Excellent communication and enterprise mindset.
• Valid Polish work authorization required (no sponsorship).
