Job summary

OpenX Poland in Krakow is seeking a Senior SDET to join the Platform Team focusing on the Marketplace UI/API testing. You will own test automation frameworks for TypeScript/Playwright frontends and Java/Python APIs, influencing testing strategies for a high-scale ad marketplace.

The role emphasizes building new testing frameworks, risk-based testing, and collaboration across SDETs and engineers in an agile setup. Remote option available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in test automation or SDET work.
• Strong hands-on TypeScript and Playwright experience.
• Solid API testing experience in Java and/or Python (pytest).
• Practical knowledge of test design and risk-based testing.
• CI/CD tooling experience and automated CI environments.
• Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Spinnaker.
• Excellent troubleshooting and agile teamwork; Polish & English fluent.

Responsibilities

• Own, build, and evolve UI (TypeScript/Playwright) and API tests for Marketplace workflows.
• Improve reliability, speed, and maintainability of test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in all development phases from requirements to deployment.
• Identify quality risks early with stakeholders and apply risk-based testing.
• Investigate flaky tests and production issues; drive root-cause fixes.
• Communicate quality risks and trade-offs clearly to teams.
