Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking an experienced SDET specializing in JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright to join our engineering team and drive automated testing across functional, API, and performance areas. You will collaborate with test managers, product owners, and developers to design, implement, and maintain robust automated test solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in JavaScript/TypeScript test automation.
• Hands-on 3+ years with Playwright.
• Experience with API testing, mocks, and contract validation.
• CI/CD integration and test management traceability.
• Agile methodologies and cross-team communication.
• API tests tied to Swagger endpoints; mocking tools like Playwright, Supertest, WireMock, Pact.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with test managers and product owners to understand test plans.
• Design, develop, and execute automated tests for functional and non-functional areas.
• Implement API testing strategies for endpoints' correctness, security, performance.
• Maintain component-level tests with mocks and contracts.
• Plan and analyze performance and load tests for scalability and stability.
• Report defects with reproducible steps and logs.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines with quality gates.
• Maintain traceable test artifacts in Xray, Jira, Confluence, and Git.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-team collaboration.
