Job summary

Allegro in Warsaw is looking for a Senior Scala Engineer to design and develop a highly scalable data ingestion platform that processes billions of events daily. You will be part of the Data & AI group, working with Scala/Java/Python, and leveraging modern cloud and data frameworks.

You will contribute across the stack using GCP or AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD practices, while enjoying a hybrid work model and opportunities for learning and growth within a vibrant engineering community.

Qualifications

• Experience in Scala/Java/Python.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and data processing frameworks.
• Knowledge of GCP (Dataflow/Composer) or AWS/Azure.
• Good practices: clean code, code reviews, TDD, CI/CD.
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux environments.
• English at B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data ingestion for large-scale user data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy data and AI solutions.
• Promote best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.
