Job summary

Allegro Ltd. is seeking Senior Scala Engineers to design and scale data ingestion for millions of Allegro users. The role sits in Data & AI, a group of 150+ engineers working on Big Data, ML models, search, and recommendations.

The platform blends on-premise systems with Google Cloud services like Spark, Kafka, Beam, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow. You will work across teams, implement clean code, TDD, and CI/CD practices, and contribute to a robust data processing platform on a hybrid cloud

Qualifications

• Proficient in Scala/Java with strong experience in data processing or data ingestion.
• Experience with distributed systems and modern data platforms.
• Knowledge of GCP or other public clouds (Azure/AWS).
• Practice with clean code, TDD and CI/CD.
• Comfort with Unix/Linux environments.
• Excellent English communication (B2).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines for Allegro customers.
• Collaborate across teams to deploy fault-tolerant data processing services.
• Leverage modern cloud tools (GCP, Spark, Beam) and on-premise components as needed.
