Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to design and integrate control and SCADA solutions for Battery Energy Storage Systems. The role is remote with regular travel to Germany for business, collaborating with customers and Transmission System Operators to ensure seamless operation.

You will contribute to the development, FAT/SAT testing, and commissioning of systems, applying your expertise in industrial automation and power grid contexts while communicating fluently in English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SCADA and control systems engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering with focus on automation/controls.
• Strong knowledge of Modbus and industrial protocols.
• Experience with grid systems or energy management solutions is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to Germany about once a month.
• Fluent English communication required.

Your tasks

• Developing and configuring control and SCADA systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Integrating systems via industrial communication protocols such as Modbus
• Conducting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
• Commissioning and troubleshooting control solutions to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborating with customers and TSOs to align system capabilities with operational requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in SCADA and control systems engineering, preferably within a power utility or related industry
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering with focus on automation and controls (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols, particularly Modbus
• Practical experience with grid systems and energy management solutions
• Willingness to travel to Germany for business about once a month
• Fluent English

• Familiarity with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Experience in troubleshooting and commissioning complex control systems
