Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to develop and integrate control and SCADA solutions for Battery Energy Storage Systems. The role supports remote work while coordinating with clients and TSOs to ensure seamless operation.

Applicants should have 5+ years in SCADA/control engineering, a degree in automation/controls, and strong Modbus knowledge. Occasional travel to Germany is expected for business about once a month.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Senior SCADA Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development and integration of control and SCADA solutions for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). In this role, you will work remotely, combining your expertise in industrial automation with power and grid systems. You will communicate closely with customers and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Your tasks

• Developing and configuring control and SCADA systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Integrating systems via industrial communication protocols such as Modbus
• Conducting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
• Commissioning and troubleshooting control solutions to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborating with customers and TSOs to align system capabilities with operational requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in SCADA and control systems engineering, preferably within a power utility or related industry
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering with focus on automation and controls (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols, particularly Modbus
• Practical experience with grid systems and energy management solutions
• Willingness to travel to Germany for business about once a month
• Fluent English

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Experience in troubleshooting and commissioning complex control systems
