Job summary

EPAM Systems in Kraków is seeking an experienced SAP HANA Developer to design and maintain data models, ETL pipelines, and backend solutions supporting analytics across manufacturing, engineering, and operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize performance, work in SAFe Agile environments, and enable real-time insights via SAP Analytics Cloud and related tools. Hybrid work options available, including remote work within Poland.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SAP HANA development or equivalent roles in the SAP space.
• Hands-on modeling with Calculation Views, CDS Views, Procedures, and SQLScript.
• Experience in designing and maintaining ETL workflows in SAP environments.
• Familiarity with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA and other legacy systems.
• Strong data architecture knowledge and SAP BW familiarity.
• Experience with SAP Web IDE and BW/4HANA tools.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies; Jira/Confluence.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/DI or related technical field.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SAP HANA native models (Calculation Views, CDS Views, Stored Procedures, SQLScript).
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines from SAP and non-SAP sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable data flows and analytics.
• Develop end-to-end data workflows with high data quality and resolve data discrepancies.
• Work with frontend teams to enable real-time insights via SAP Analytics Cloud and visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize SAP HANA native models, such as Calculation Views, CDS Views, Stored Procedures, and SQLScript to support backend data processing and aggregations
• Build and maintain efficient ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from SAP and non-SAP systems, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and other third-party sources
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable data flows and data architectures, enabling robust analytics and operational reporting
• Develop end-to-end data workflows, ensuring high data quality while identifying and resolving data discrepancies through monitoring and troubleshooting processes
• Work alongside frontend teams to enable real-time insights and interactive dashboards via SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other visualization tools
• Support and enhance business processes with custom analytics, KPI tracking, and actionable insights, all powered by SAP HANA backend solutions
• Optimize data processing performance for large datasets and complex workflows, leveraging SAP HANA in-memory database capabilities
• Contribute to cross-team projects by working collaboratively with engineers, business analysts, and solution architects to gather requirements and deliver high-quality, tailored solutions
• Actively participate in Agile (SAFe) workflows, including sprints, planning, and retrospectives, while delivering incremental value to stakeholders
• Document and maintain technical best practices, processes, and knowledge sharing for key SAP HANA solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SAP HANA development or equivalent roles in the SAP space
• Proven expertise in SAP HANA native modeling, including strong hands‑on experience with Calculation Views, CDS Views, Procedures, and SQLScript
• Experience in designing and maintaining ETL workflows and data pipelines, with specific experience in SAP environments like HANA
• Familiarity with the integration of SAP systems such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, or other legacy systems into data workflows
• Expertise in data performance optimization, database tuning, and ensuring scalability for large‑scale datasets
• Experience working in SAP BW environments is a plus, including familiarity with InfoObjects, DSOs, Process Chains, and data transformations
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles and hands‑on experience with SAP Web IDE and BW/4HANA tools
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and the use of collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• Excellent problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset

Nice to have

• Background in the manufacturing or engineering industries, especially in areas such as quality assurance or supply chain analytics
• Experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP Data Intelligence, or related modern SAP integration tools
• Knowledge of advanced visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI in addition to SAC
