A global consulting firm is building a new SAP implementation unit in Poland, anchored to its UK practice. We are looking for an experienced SAP EWM Principal Consultant to join early — at the point where the team is still being shaped rather than inherited.
Their ERP practice delivers business transformation for some of the largest global brands. You would be designing and implementing EWM solutions inside full S/4HANA transformation programmes: real greenfield and brownfield design work, not application support. Structured training, defined career paths and a bench of experienced colleagues come with the role.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Leading delivery of complex SAP EWM projects end to end — requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing and go-live support
- Advising clients on EWM best practice, warehouse strategy and implementation methodology at principal-consultant level
- Designing the integration between EWM and the wider SAP landscape, working alongside MM, PP, SD, TM and QM colleagues
- Designing and configuring EWM to MES production integration, including advanced production integration scenarios
- Writing the documentation that holds a programme together: functional specifications, configuration guides and training material
- Running design workshops and training sessions with client business and IT stakeholders
- Providing ongoing support for live EWM solutions — troubleshooting, root cause analysis and resolution
- Contributing to how the new Polish unit works: delivery standards, reusable assets and mentoring of less experienced consultants
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on SAP consulting experience
- Proven delivery record across EWM application design, customisation and integration — full lifecycle, not support only
- Strong grounding in logistics and warehouse business processes, and how they map onto SAP
- Demonstrated ability to run presentations, training sessions and design workshops with senior stakeholders
- Strong technical writing — configuration guides and functional specifications to an enterprise standard
- Proven ability to work in multicultural, cross-border delivery teams
STRONGLY PREFERRED
- SAP S/4HANA transformation project experience — embedded or decentralised EWM
- EWM to MES production integration, including advanced production integration methods
NICE TO HAVE
- Life Sciences or pharmaceutical industry experience — a significant advantage given the client portfolio
- German, or another European language alongside English
- Experience in a global consulting delivery model
- Exposure to SAP TM, or to automation and robotics integration in warehouse environments
WHAT THE CLIENT OFFERS
- Fully remote work on European implementation and transformation programmes
- Limited travel — on site only when the project genuinely requires it
- Competitive compensation and benefits package
- Work on current SAP technology rather than legacy estates
- Early-joiner position in a practice that is being built, with scope to shape how it delivers
- Structured training, certification support and a defined career path
