Job summary

IAG GBS Poland sp. z o.o. in Kraków is seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to support monthly closes and reporting in a global aviation environment. You will manage GL accounts for Opco, perform journal entries, and coordinate reconciliations with international teams.

The role requires 3+ years in GL accounting, strong SAP and Excel skills, and excellent English communication. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and ability to meet deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes and financial closing activities.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP and accounting platforms; proficient in Excel.
• Excellent English communication and solid analytical skills.
• Experience in international environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain General Ledger accounts for assigned Opco.
• Prepare, review, and post journals including accruals and prepayments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analyze variances.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate and compliant.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and document processes.
• Maintain process documentation and identify automation opportunities.
