Job summary

HeadHR is seeking a QA/Test Engineer to ensure robust software quality across enterprise IT systems. You will design, execute, and review both manual and automated tests, validate API integrations, and collaborate with analysts and delivery teams to ensure test coverage.

The role requires strong SQL/UNIX knowledge, experience with Java and Selenium, and English fluency. Banking domain experience is a plus. This is a full-time on-site Kraków position.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in software testing within an international environment.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing.
• Practical knowledge of SQL and UNIX.
• Experience with XML and API testing using SOAP UI.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience creating and maintaining automated test scripts (Java, Selenium).
• Understanding of Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in the banking or financial services sector (preferably payment systems).
• Higher education.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing of enterprise IT systems.
• Design, execute, and analyze automated test scripts.
• Document test execution results and report, track, and verify defects.
• Review and analyze business and technical documentation to ensure test coverage.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Test Management, Production Support, and Solution Delivery teams to understand requirements and validate solutions.
• Perform API testing using SOAP UI and validate system integrations.
• Identify testing risks and issues, escalating them when necessary.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation.
