Job summary

GFT Poland is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to design and execute test strategies across mobile, API, and UI projects. You will create test plans, perform both manual and automated testing, analyze defects, and drive quality throughout the software lifecycle.

You will collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to advance automation and testing frameworks. The role requires at least 4 years of commercial experience in software testing, fluent English and Polish, and hands-on testing

Qualifications

What will you do?

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies across mobile, API, and UI applications. You will create test plans and test cases, perform manual and automated testing, analyze defects, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Working closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders, you will contribute to test automation initiatives, improve testing frameworks, and help drive quality across the software development lifecycle.

• Create test cases, test scenarios, and test plans
• Perform functional, API, UI, and mobile testing
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts
• Execute manual and automated testing activities
• Analyze, document, and report defects
• Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders
• Create and maintain test documentation and test reports
• Contribute to improving testing tools, frameworks, and processes
• Support quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle
• At least 4 years of commercial experience in software testing
• Knowledge of various testing techniques and the ability to apply them in practice
• Hands-on experience across mobile, API, and UI testing
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with automation and/or performance testing tools
• Desire to build and evolve automation and development skills
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle processes and QA methodologies
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Experience with JIRA and other defect tracking tools
• Experience creating test documentation and test reports
• Fluent English and Polish, both written and spoken

Nice to have

• Strong practical experience with API test automation using REST Assured, Playwright API, or Postman/Newman
• Experience with contract and integration-level testing
• Hands-on experience with mobile test automation using Appium
• Experience with UI automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Practical experience with TDD/BDD
• Good knowledge of CI/CD processes
• Experience with API automation tools such as REST Assured and Postman/Newman
