Job summary

Playbook Engineering is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our Kraków team. You will drive automated testing, contribute to QA standards, and enhance test automation, API testing, and CI/CD integration across delivery teams.

Responsibilities include writing and maintaining Playwright scripts, reviewing documentation, creating test plans, and performing exploratory testing to pre-empt issues before release. Strong Polish/English communication and Agile experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA with automated testing and CI/CD experience.
• Experience writing and maintaining extensive test cases.
• Strong experience in Playwright and web technologies.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and API testing.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior QA Engineer to play a key role in our quality assurance processes. In this role, you will work closely with delivery teams, contribute to QA standards and best practices and drive improvements in test automation, API testing, and CI/CD integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and maintain test automation scripts in Playwright.
• Follow and advocate for high-quality testing standards, contributing to continuous improvements in testing processes.
• Work closely with developers, product delivery managers, and support teams to understand project requirements and provide QA expertise.
• Review business documentation and create detailed test cases and test plans.
• Conduct thorough exploratory testing to identify and address potential issues before product release.
• Utilize and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Interact with various internal teams and organize testing schedules and priorities.
• Operate independently with limited supervision, showing initiative and decision‑making in daily tasks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on automated testing, web technologies, and CI/CD integration.
• Experience writing and maintaining extensive test cases.
• Strong relevant professional experience in writing test automation scripts, ideally using Playwright (all our tests are written in Playwright).
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript ecosystem.
• Experience with CI (Gitlab, etc.).
• Experience in API testing.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.

Soft Skills:

• Good communication skills in both Polish and English.
• Proven problem‑solving abilities, with experience in exploratory testing and identifying potential issues early in the development cycle.
