Job summary

Avenga is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a team modernizing a large risk management application. You will blend test automation with manual and exploratory testing to ensure quality during refactoring of a Java-based system, collaborating closely with QA and software engineers in Poland.

Qualifications

• Senior QA / QA Automation Engineer with solid commercial experience.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript for test automation development.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end UI and API testing.
• Experience with Page Object Model and test fixture patterns.
• Experience with Azure DevOps including pipelines, work items, test plans, and Git.
• Strong manual and exploratory testing skills.
• Good English; Polish at B2+ preferred.
• Familiarity with Java and Selenium WebDriver is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using TypeScript and Playwright.
• Perform end-to-end UI and API testing.
• Conduct thorough manual and exploratory testing of a complex business application.
• Build and maintain regression coverage during the Java refactoring.
• Define test scenarios, edge cases, dependencies and regression risks.
• Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and QA documentation.
• Investigate complex defects and perform root cause analysis.
• Work with Azure DevOps pipelines, work items, test plans, and Git repositories.
• Collaborate with developers and QA to improve testing practices and automation coverage.
